A guide to the product rules and data practices described in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Numbers and contract text
Audit AI is schema-constrained to reference verified benchmarks and produce qualitative wording. The model cannot author a number you see: displayed figures are computed on our servers from observed benchmarks, exchange rates, and your inputs. Exchange rates are used for display and scoring only, never to compute an amount you are charged.
Contract-risk flags are kept only when they quote your own document text verbatim. For Pro deliverables, the model does not see your raw price; numbers are inserted server-side from your computed audit. AI-generated wording can still be incomplete or wrong, and audit results are informational.

Blind auctions and private conversations
Vendors see the auction category, pricing basis, and deadline. Your maximum price is compared against bids on our servers and is never disclosed to vendors. Vendors cannot see other vendors' bids, identities, or the number of bids. Your pricing details, contract text, uploaded document, and audit results are not disclosed to vendors.
Deal-room messages are not read, moderated, or answered by AI. Automated conversation notices are fixed, server-generated status updates about the deal.

Deals and payments
Buyers and sellers conclude and pay for their software deals directly, off the platform. Trim charges no commission and takes no percentage of deal value. Trim does not hold customer funds or act as a payment intermediary between users.
Where auction commitment fees are enabled, they are Trim's own service charges, not escrow or money transferred between users. Payments for Trim services are collected by our Merchant of Record, which handles checkout, tax, card processing, and refunds. Trim does not receive or store card numbers.
Personal access tokens
Only signed-in accounts can create and use personal access tokens, and actions taken with a token are your actions. Revocation takes effect immediately. Choosing a winning bid requires your confirmation in Trim, and a token cannot complete checkout.

Data regions
Our primary database is hosted in Google Cloud's Seoul region (asia-northeast3). Google Vertex AI processing is regionalized by your country: an EU region for visitors in the EU, the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland; a Japan region for Korea and Japan; a Singapore region for Singapore; and the US region otherwise. Other providers may process data in their own regions.

How prices and fees are determined
Audit figures use verified market benchmarks and your inputs. Subscription and service fees are described on Pricing. Seller discovery clicks are billed after the free allowance at the rate in effect when the click happened. A click is billable only if it is the first click from that visitor to the seller in 24 hours, is not a bot, and is not from the seller or their team; everything else is recorded and not billed. See click pricing for the current allowances, rates, and billing details.
Auction-win lead fees are tiered by the buyer's captured maximum. Where commitment fees are enabled, the exact fee is computed by our servers and shown before payment. The Merchant of Record handles tax and checkout.
